Math Practice Help

Help for the Math Practice app and WeChat mini program. Reading this page requires no sign-in and does not enable backup or change learning records.

Start practicing offline

Both the app and WeChat mini program start with a welcome screen. Create a nickname profile and choose a learning stage to reach the home screen. Four main navigation entries lead to home practice, the practice library, growth records and the parent area. The challenge journey contains 12 levels that unlock progressively. Navigation adapts from a bottom bar on phones to a sidebar on wide tablets. Parents can adjust learner profiles and learning stages in the parent area. Core practice, mistake review and saved progress need no account or cloud backup. Learning records stay on the current device by default. The WeChat mini program may still need a connection for its first load or an update.

Open the parent area

Choose Parents. On first entry, a guardian must set and repeat a 6-digit PIN and check the guardian confirmation. Later entry requires the PIN. The parent area manages learner profiles, language, daily goals, backup and data. Leaving the app, sending it to the background or allowing the verification to expire requires verification again. Children do not need the PIN for daily practice.

Parent PIN and recovery key are different

The parent PIN protects the parent area on this device and is stored locally. The server cannot recover it. A backup recovery key grants access to a separate, optional cloud account: anyone holding it can read, restore or delete that backup, but it cannot unlock the parent PIN. We do not offer phone-number or email sign-in and cannot guarantee identification or recovery of an anonymous backup account after key loss. After parent verification, the in-app Erase data on this device action or the mini-program Erase device data action removes the local PIN and learning records. Keep an existing backup key safe first. Uninstalling and reinstalling does not guarantee a PIN reset and may lose local learning records; it is not a loss-free recovery method.

Enable, restore or disconnect backup

When the service is configured and available, open Parents → Cloud backup in the app or Parents → Optional cloud backup in the mini program. Read the privacy policy, confirm guardian consent and choose Agree and enable backup. Save the Recovery key or Copy recovery key, and use Sync now to update the backup. On another device, complete parent verification and choose Restore a backup or Restore with a key, using the same official service and your saved key. Existing practice is merged and kept. If already connected to a different backup, save that key before choosing Disconnect backup or Disconnect this device. Disconnecting does not delete the server backup. Backup and restoration require a connection; offline practice remains available when the service is unconfigured or unavailable.

Export learning records

In the app, choose Parents → Data and privacy → Export learning data. In the WeChat mini program, choose Parents → Device data → Export device records. Use the system save or share option to keep the JSON file. With a connected backup, Export cloud backup or Export cloud records in the parent area downloads the latest server records. This requires a connection and does not upload or change device data. Exported JSON does not contain the recovery key. There is currently no direct file-import option in the app; the export cannot replace the key to restore access to a cloud account.

Delete device and cloud data separately

In the app, choose Parents → Data and privacy → Erase data on this device. In the mini program, choose Parents → Device data → Erase device data. This permanently removes local profiles, practice and saved keys; cloud backups must be deleted separately. To erase cloud data, choose Delete cloud account and backup or Delete cloud account in the parent backup area, or open the public deletion page below. Cloud deletion requires a valid recovery key and confirmation. Deletion invalidates that key while keeping device records. Before deleting, export any records and save any keys you need to keep.

Troubleshooting and contact

If saving fails, check available device storage. For backup errors, check the connection, service status and key; do not send your key to a third party. When contacting ColorfulMoon, describe the app or mini-program version, device operating system, steps and error message. Do not send a parent PIN, recovery key, a child’s real name or screenshots containing private information. This page has no data-submission form; use the email link below to contact us.
